Robotics 101 is a virtual, hands-on training course designed specifically for agriculture teachers and ag tech coaches who want to bring introductory robotics and coding into their classrooms. Over 12 hours of live online instruction, participants build and program their own classroom-ready robot using the BBC micro:bit platform with support from Parallax, a leading STEM and robotics education partner.

The workshop introduces core robotics concepts, including hardware components, assembly basics, sensors, motors, and microcontroller integration. Participants also learn beginner-friendly Python programming and practical strategies for engaging students with robotics projects.​

By the end of the course, educators leave with a fully functional robot they assembled and programmed themselves, plus digital resources they can immediately use in their teaching. Graduates receive a Parallax Certificate of Training and Completion, with continuing education units pending approval, along with access to exclusive lesson plans and Parallax’s online educator support community.

Courses will be delivered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45p - 5:45p (PT) on the following dates: January 12, 14, 21, 26, 28 and February 2.
